Welcome to Grow Everyday, a blog from Marriage PLANS

Welcome! The main focus of this blog is to help women have better relationships, which will enrich their lives. It will cover marriage preparation, living single, relationship maintenance, personal development, and an occasional random notice from everyday life. I hope you will find encouragement, be challenged, and be inspired when you visit here. Life becomes so much richer when we grow every day!

I advocate for healthy marriages, and my heartbeat is on the side of prevention; preventing a pitfall in marriage is much better than trying to get out of one. The process from speculation to fruition is quite the journey as you move toward marriage. So many ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and experiences shape our convictions of what we think marriage is all about. The best time to explore these convictions is before getting married. The time you spend preparing to be married is a priceless investment in your future. It will yield you a return from so many other areas of your life because this process is about becoming whole and maturing in your faith. So if you never get married or are already married, you will still reap great rewards by gaining valuable tools for your life.

Every month, I will share what God has put in my heart about preparing for marriage via popular thought, your concerns, personal experiences, or an excerpt from one of my writings. I hope that each time you read this blog, you find something that makes your life a little bit better than before.

I am truly honored to share this with you! I invite your company and comments as well. All that I ask is that you refrain from foul language and that you be respectful toward the ideas and feelings of others. As I see recurring themes or questions, I will address those in future blogs, so feel free to express yourselves and ask questions. I've found that I learn as much as anyone just by understanding the hearts of other women.

If you've read my bio, you may wonder what business I have as a married woman leading a singles platform when this is no longer my season? The answer is simple: a single person who has not successfully engaged in marriage has no leverage to tell you how to get there. They may provide some wisdom, but ultimately they don't have proven results yet. I was a single mom for eight years before I ever got married. I have now been married for over 18 years—with much success. This is, in fact, marriage ministry for singles. Here, experience matters.

I am so excited to take this journey with you and hope that I can bless you as much as you all bless me!
